This Privacy Policy describes how Pixora AI ("Pixora", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Ecommerce Storez, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when merchants install or use Pixora AI with their Shopify store.
By installing or using Pixora AI, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Pixora Accesses and Collects
Pixora accesses only the Shopify store information reasonably necessary to provide its image optimization features.
Depending on how the App is used, this may include:
- Shopify store information such as store domain, installation information, application sessions, authorized scopes, and administrative account information made available through Shopify authentication.
- Product information such as product IDs, titles, handles, status, vendor, and product type.
- Product image and media information such as Shopify media IDs, image URLs, filenames, alt text, dimensions, format, position, and other image metadata.
- Image optimization information including resize, compression, filename, alt-text, automation, processing status, optimization history, errors, and related activity.
- Original image backup files created before Pixora replaces or modifies image content.
- Subscription and usage information such as the selected plan, subscription status, image-edit usage, and AI-generation usage.
- Technical and security information, including standard server logs, timestamps, request information, application events, and diagnostic information used to operate and secure the App.
Pixora's core image optimization functionality does not require access to Shopify customer or order data.
2. How We Use Information
We use information collected through Pixora to:
- Authenticate and connect the App to the merchant's Shopify store.
- Scan product images and identify image optimization opportunities.
- Resize, compress, rename, and otherwise process product images when requested by the merchant or enabled through automation.
- Generate or improve image alt text and other supported image SEO information.
- Create and manage original-image backups before replacing image content.
- Restore original images when a merchant uses the restore functionality.
- Run merchant-configured image optimization automations.
- Track subscription limits and feature usage.
- Maintain the reliability, security, performance, and functionality of Pixora.
- Diagnose errors, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
3. AI-Powered Features
Pixora includes AI-assisted functionality, including AI-generated image alt text.
When an AI-powered feature is used, information reasonably necessary to perform that feature may be sent to a third-party AI service provider. This information may include relevant product information, image metadata, existing alt text, and, where required by the feature, image content.
We use AI service providers only to provide and operate Pixora's AI functionality and not to sell merchant information.
4. Image Processing and Backups
Pixora may download product images temporarily in order to resize, compress, analyze, or otherwise process them.
Before Pixora replaces image content, the App may create a backup copy of the original image so the merchant can restore it through Pixora's backup functionality.
Original image backups are generally retained for up to 90 days unless they are restored, deleted, or otherwise removed earlier.
5. Shopify Permissions
Pixora requests Shopify permissions required to read and update product and image information. These permissions may include access to read and write product information and Shopify files.
Pixora uses these permissions only to provide the functionality described in the App and this Privacy Policy.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent merchant information.
We may share information only where reasonably necessary with:
- Shopify, as necessary to authenticate the App and read or update store content.
- Hosting, infrastructure, database, storage, security, and technical service providers used to operate Pixora.
- AI service providers used to provide AI-powered features.
- Service providers used for monitoring, diagnostics, communications, or support.
- Government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required by applicable law or is reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, users, or the public.
7. Shopify Billing
Paid Pixora subscriptions are managed through Shopify's billing system. Shopify processes the merchant's payment information. Pixora may receive and store subscription identifiers, plan details, billing status, and related subscription metadata, but we do not directly collect or store full payment-card information.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Pixora, maintain backup and processing functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and keep appropriate business records.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods. Image backups are subject to the backup retention period described above.
9. Uninstalling Pixora
When Pixora is uninstalled, Shopify revokes the App's access to the merchant's store.
Image changes that Pixora has already applied to the Shopify store, including resizing, compression, filenames, and alt text, are not automatically reversed simply because the App is uninstalled.
Merchants who want to restore eligible original images should use Pixora's restore functionality before uninstalling the App.
After uninstall, certain information may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for security, legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, backup-management, or compliance purposes.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Processing
Pixora and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where the merchant is located. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for international data processing.
12. Privacy Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, merchants may have rights relating to their personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other applicable privacy rights.
We will respond to valid privacy requests as required by applicable law and Shopify's applicable privacy requirements.
13. Children's Privacy
Pixora is a business application intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Pixora, our data practices, legal requirements, or service providers.
When we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.
